New Release: Point Cloud to SketchUp: Undet 26.2

Undet for SketchUp 2026.2 - point cloud to SketchUp modelling new features update

Undet for SketchUp turns point cloud to SketchUp modelling into a fast, precise workflow – letting you work with laser scan data directly inside SketchUp and draw accurate as-built models from it. The latest release adds two tools that take the biggest jobs – walls, doors and windows – down to a few clicks each, together with SLAM and mobile mapping support, a refreshed interface and a simpler licensing system.

New tools for modelling straight from your scan data:

1. 3P Wall

Draw a wall with three points: two set the line, the third sets the width. Switch to chain mode and keep going, so a whole floor comes together without stopping to type dimensions. It is the fastest way yet to build walls straight from your point cloud in SketchUp.

2. Dynamic Doors & Windows

Place doors and windows that adjust to the opening you scanned. Match the building as it actually stands, instead of forcing standard sizes onto an as-built. Resize either element and the wall opening updates automatically, keeping your model true to the real geometry.

3. SLAM & mobile mapping data

Undet handles SLAM and mobile mapping scans, bringing 360-degree panorama positions and Sync Browser into SketchUp. Click an unclear point in your model and see it from the scanner’s own position – giving you full visual context of the site as you model your point cloud in SketchUp.

4. Refreshed interface

A reorganized toolbar and sharper icons mean the tools you reach for most are right where you expect them, making everyday modelling faster and more intuitive.

5. New licensing system

Undet has moved to a simpler licensing system – no more SITE and MID codes. Manage everything in one place at license.undet.com.
