The latest release adds new tools that speed up walls and openings, sharpen how you read the cloud, and improve how doors and windows go in.
New tools for modelling straight from your scan data:
1. Fit Wall
Join walls where they meet with L and T connections. Walls are trimmed and extended to close cleanly, so corners and junctions come together without leftover gaps or overlaps – finishing rooms and wall layouts straight from your point cloud in SketchUp.
2. Transparency
A new transparency mode makes wall lines and edges stand out clearly in the point cloud, so it is easier to trace them and model with confidence.
3. Cut Opening
Cut an opening in a wall with three points: the first sets the plane, the next two set the diagonal. Openings can be placed from the wall corner or edge, so they land where the scan says they should.
4. Dynamic Doors & Windows – improved insertion
Placing doors and windows is smoother. Insert them from the wall corner or edge and adjust them to the opening you scanned, so the model matches the building as it actually stands. Resize either element and the wall opening updates automatically, keeping your model true to the real geometry.
