[3P Wall] – Draws a wall by selecting three points: two for length, one for width. Works in single or chain mode.
[L Wall Join] – Joins two walls at an L corner and merges them into one solid.
[T Wall Join] – Joins two walls in a T and merges them into one solid.
[Insert Door] – Places a door component into a wall and cuts the opening automatically.
[Insert Window] – Places a window component into a wall and cuts the opening automatically.
[Cut Opening] – Cuts an opening in a wall without inserting a door or window component.

Modelling walls

The [3P Wall] tool draws a wall from three picked points, taking both length and thickness from the point cloud.

  1. Pick the first point for the wall length.
  2. Pick the second point for the wall length.
  3. Pick a third point to set the wall width.

With chain mode enabled, the end of each wall becomes the start of the next, allowing you to model a continuous run of walls without restarting the command.

Joining walls

Both join tools require one face to be selected on each wall, and both merge the two walls into a single solid.

[L Wall Join] Select one face on each wall. Where the walls overlap, the wall with the larger selected face is trimmed at its nearer end. Where there is a gap, both walls extend to meet at the corner.
[T Wall Join] Select one face on each wall, in either order. The wall with the smaller selected face is extended or trimmed to meet the larger one.

Doors, windows and openings

All three tools follow the same click pattern: select the wall face, then two clicks to set the size.

  1. Click the wall face.
  2. Click to set the first dimension.
  3. Click to set the second dimension.
[Insert Door] The wall cutout is created automatically. If the door component is resized afterwards, the cutout resizes with it.
[Insert Window] The wall cutout is created automatically. Resizing the window afterwards updates the opening to match, which is useful for scaling a placed window to the real opening visible in the point cloud.
[Cut Opening] Creates the opening on its own, with no component placed. The opening cannot be rescaled after placement.

NOTE: where you expect to adjust an opening size later, use [Insert Door] or [Insert Window] instead of [Cut Opening], as their cutouts follow the component.
